The IT department of a global company decides to use a desktop-integrated file encryption tool. However the central administration component of the software does not meet the requirements of an enterprise integration.

In cooperation with the client an M4ITM AG partner designs the specification for the provisioning process, the missing logging and the decentral group administration based on the API of the software vendor.

Our development team quickly implements a provisioning portal in C#. The portal allows logging of central administration as well as decentral group administration. The clients’ existing PKI- and LDAP-infrastructure is fully integrated.

A pilot developed for approx. 500 IT users and just two directory-servers has evolved into a company wide system, as of today with more than 25.000 users and more than 70 directory-servers.
